Le Pantanal à travers notre regard
Ce nom résonne encore en nous comme une promesse d'émerveillement. Avec ses marais infinis, ces couchers de soleil flamboyants et sa faune sauvage omniprésente, cette immense zone humide d'Amérique du sud d'une superficie d'environ 200 000 km2 nous a offert un des plus beau voyage.
Notre aventure a commencé à Cuiabá et plus loin Poconé, point de départ d'un long périple sur la mythique Transpantaneira, cette piste de terre rouge qui traverse les plaines inondables jusqu'à Porto Jofre.
A chaque pont en bois, chaque halte, la magie opérait : caïmans se chauffant au soleil, capibaras insouciants, oiseaux tropicaux...
Au fil des canaux et rivières du Pantanal dans la lumière douce du matin caïmans, loutres géantes, et oiseaux défilent silencieusement jusqu'à l'apparition du jaguar. Majestueux, insaisissable, il marche sur la berge puis s'arrête, observe, et cherche à se hisser dans un arbre pour mieux dominer son territoire et ses proies. Le capturer à travers l'objectif, c'est saisir un fragment brut de la vie sauvage. Ici, tout est lumière, patience et respect du vivant.
The Pantanal through our eyes
This name still resonates within us as a promise of wonder. With its endless marshes, flamboyant sunsets, and omnipresent wildlife, this immense South American wetland covering an area of approximately 200,000 km² offered us one of the most beautiful journeys we have ever experienced.
Our adventure began in Cuiabá and continued on to Poconé, the starting point of a long journey on the legendary Transpantaneira, a red dirt road that crosses the floodplains to Porto Jofre.
At every wooden bridge and every stop, magic happened: caimans basking in the sun, carefree capybaras, tropical birds...
Along the canals and rivers of the Pantanal in the soft morning light, caimans, giant otters, and birds silently parade by until the jaguar appears. Majestic and elusive, it walks along the bank, then stops, observes, and tries to climb a tree to better dominate its territory and prey. Capturing it through the lens is like capturing a raw fragment of wildlife. Here, everything is light, patience, and respect for life.
